Our lab is a moderate complexity lab, accredited through the Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA). We perform annual proficiency testing (also required for accreditation) with proficiency testing with MLE (Medical Laboratory Evaluation). We perform 90% of all lab work in the office. Our lab's efficiency helps to keep lab work in the office for your convenience. All of our staff members are friendly and qualified. Our ExcellenceOur in-house laboratory was presented the Laboratory Excellence Award in 2005 award due to its excellent performance. In order to achieve this award, our laboratory met the requirements of the Commission on Office Laboratory Accreditation (COLA), completed an on-site survey, and kept record of its successes. Our Qualified StaffOur in-house lab is comprised of Medical Technologists and Medical Laboratory Technicians. All of our laboratory staff members are current members of the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) Board of Registry. Our blood drawing area is staffed with certified phlebotomists. Lab TestsThe majority of lab tests ordered by your physician are performed at IMA. View a list of our lab tests. Other lab tests may be processed at Greenville Memorial Hospital or Spectrum Lab depending on your insurance coverage. Appointment InformationFor your convenience, we are open Monday through Thursday from 8 am to 5 pm and from 8 am to noon on Fridays. Find out if your test requires fasting. For your convenience, we have drawing areas on the main floor and on the third floor specialist suite. |
Our in-house laboratory is a member of COLA, an organization that provides various services to laboratories, assisting in reaching the height of regulatory requirements for laboratories. Member laboratories of COLA exemplify quality control, patient test management, high personnel standards, proficiency testing, safety, quality assurance. COLA members are also required to complete an on-site survey once every two years.
